The regionalization of the federal entities of Mexico defined by the INEGI for the years 2003, 2009, 2015 and 2021 is analyzed through the GDP of their economic subsectors bu applying the Gini index. The objective is to know the most equitable and most unequal economic sectors of the mexican economy through the Gini index applied to the existing geographic regions in the country. The mining sector, represented mainly by oil and gas extraction activities, has the highest Gini index, so its economy has very unequal behavior between regions, while the commerce sector has a more equitable distribution between regions.
